The second local exhibition Hydromedia: Seeing with Water shows the art works made for the Hydromedia project by the visual artists Mariko Hori, Sanne Vaassen, Meng-Chan Yu, and Alexandra Crouwers. These four artists lived and worked in and around Utrecht in October 2023, where they've studied various facets of the rich Dutch aquatic ecology and elaborate engineering systems surrounding water. In collaboration with curators Taco Hidde Bakker and Sjoerd Knibbeler (both also teachers at HKU) they've developed new works and protocols, opening up the artistic process to a non-art audience.
